This took me a hot second to grasp too but I thibk what this is saying is that OP and @will-o-the-witch are calling out and bashing posts that are of people basically putting others down for their connections and relationships with their deities. Lots of sarcasm as well. They’re saying they hate posts like those of people who are like,
“You dumb kids don’t know what having a relationship with deities is actually like! The Gods don’t care about you blah blah blah (insert shitty reason here).”
The second half basically is tearing down other posts that are like, “Tumblr doesn’t know what REAL religion looks like…” and calls those kinds of posts out for basically still having a Christian kind of viewpoint ans trying to apply it to non-Christian beliefs, histories, and cultures even if they aren’t inherently Christian.

Pretty much. Lots of people end up trying to dictate how other people practice by assuming that every single approach to religion is exactly the same as their extremely narrow scope of experience and anybody doing it differently is ridiculous and shameworthy because it doesn’t align with their personal worldview. And then they act like they’re just more educated/enlightened/self-aware than everybody else and think theyre delivering a spicy hot take, but they’re actually just being super irritating (and showing how little they actually know what they’re talking about)
Maybe people who stubbornly defend the flat earth theory are space enthusiasts who secretly hope to be taken into space for free and shown the proof of earth’s curvature.
